It's winter time and in these period I like to stay inside, drink hot tea and take care of my hyacinths. These pictures are 1 years old and they are took by Giuseppe in his place. I remember I was very talkative that afternoon, I think I talked for hours, I really don't know if Giuseppe's listening to me, anyway He took beautiful pictures!

Finally Vintage Festival is here! I'd been waiting for a long time this event. It 's a fair that takes place for a weekend (14-16 September) in the center of Padua and is an excellent opportunity to find cool stuff and buy interesting things. It's a place to see and be seen.

It's just a little to understand that began school. If yesterday the streets were empty and at 8 o'clock you could hear only the church bells in the distance and I could ride my bike to work almost in the middle of the road in absolute peace, today the city was a jungle: aggressive mothers in suv looking for parking, screaming kids and the usual traffic. I liked to think a style for this particular day full of expectations.
You never stop learning, especially when you want to realize your dreams. So I've started to study how to make real the ideas that I have in my mind .... the birth is imminent!
The interesting book that I'm studing is How to set up and run a fashion label of Toby Meadows. Have a good Sunday!!!
Last day I had a coffee with my dear friend Ari and she told me: "I read your blog and you make dresses for all your friend and not for me" . Ari, this necklace is for you!

I have to clarify one thing. I know that my skin is not perfect in the pics, but this is not clio makeup. there'no makeup in my face only because I want to emphasize the naturalness of the style.
In these pics I'm wearing some Velvet Elisa creations: a green jersey dress, that I made for rOb of the famous food blog cucinaconrob and a silver jersey necklace that I made for my friend Chiara.

Oops! My panties peep out!!!! This could be a perfect outfit for Lady Gaga, as long as I'm the only one that I'm ashamed to go around in my underwear!
This is the brightest period of the year. It is also the period that I prefer to go to the seaside. The days are sunny and the beach is almost deserted, it return to become a natural environment. It seems that everything wake up. The sun is shining, the water in clear, just you and I walk along the pier.... like a old Morcheeba song.

In these pictures a Velvet Elisa dress and me.
One day I will tell you the little story about this dress, because behind every dress there is always a story.
And now close your eyes and listen to the music.
A little bit of fashion history. Nothing is so inspiring as old fashion: elegant, flawless and so womanly. This is a video about Norman Hartnell fashion show (1938). Elegance never die.

Saturday morning. Wake up at 7, shower and breakfast. At 9.30 am, I'm sitting in front of my makeup artist. I'm not so beautiful in natural version, but let see how you can become beautiful with the right make up.
1. make a uniform skin color through concealer and foundation
2. define the eyebrows
2. define the eyebrows
3. mark the eye with black pencil
4. blending light shadow on the eye
5. blending dark shadow on the eye
6. define eyelashes
7. mark the lips with pencil
8. color the lips with lipstick
Here is the result!
Thanks to Ari for the nice experience (....and modeling!).
I am the one who buy fashion magazines only to look at the pictures (advertising included).
I rarely read the articles (only designers biographies and horoscope). This is not a superficial reading but a sensory reading, because the pictures have to talk directly to your brain. If something in a mass of clothes and shoes strikes your mind, it's done! Fashion have to speak to your style and personality without intermediaries. This time I 've tried to give voice to my thoughts about the men's fashion shows fall winter 2011-2012 Milan. Here is my review about Umit Benan fashion show in Milan on L' Uomo Vogue n. 419 of March.
The Umit Benan man is a relaxed gentleman that Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) would like to meet and photograph on the streets of New York and Florence. Sartorial elegance with a casual touch. New shapes and elements add classic elegance and contemporary cool to the male wardrobe, inventing a classic and fresh contemporary elegance. The subversive and frivolous skirt leggings are tamed by the severity of a double-breasted jacket on the colors of blue and gray to black. We are looking for as a new balance between revolution and classic trend without losing the subtle charm of the formal gentleman.
